Porsche 911 4S Front Driveshaft Boot & Rear Control Module Work

This Porsche 911 4S came into the workshop for front driveshaft boot work and a rear control module repair.

The 911 4S uses an all-wheel-drive layout, so the front driveshafts and CV boots are important parts of the drivetrain. If a driveshaft boot splits or leaks, grease can escape and dirt can get into the joint, which can lead to wear and further damage if it is left too long.

On this visit, the front end was stripped down to access the driveshaft area, with the worn boot clearly visible once removed. Alongside the mechanical repair, the car also required rear control module work, showing how modern Porsche maintenance often involves both mechanical and electronic diagnosis.

Keeping these jobs up to date helps protect the drivetrain, maintain reliability and keep the car driving as Porsche intended.
