A Porsche Boxster customer brought their car into the garage with an issue getting it into gear. After diagnosis we discovered the gear selector cable was faulty.

To replace this cable involves a big strip down by first taking out the centre console. This has a lot of screws so takes some time. Next the inspection panel behind seats is taken out and then the inspection panel above engine to get to cables. Underneath this we disconnected the cables and threaded them through. We then threaded new cable through to engine to gear box.

After all the panels, and screws were replaced we tested and confirmed all was working well.
