This Porsche Panamera V8 came into the garage with a timing chain issue which had stretched and caused the engine management light to come on.

After stripping down the engine we noticed the sliding pad had disintegrated. We pulled the sump off to check the oil pick up pipe so it didn’t cause further engine damage. The oil pick up pipe was totally blocked so was taken off and replaced.

In the oil drainer were many bits and pieces in the sump caused by the disintegration of the sliding pad. This could have caused serious damage to engine if not checked.

The engine timing chain sprockets were replaced + guides and gaskets engine light out.

Car now perfect!
