A customer based in South London contacted us via our Website contact page to report that their Porsche Cayenne engine management light was on. We advised the client to bring the Porsche Cayenne into our Belvedere service centre for diagnostics.

Our tests showed the issue was a camshaft sensor issue but from experience we suspected the issue was actually a timing chain issue where it had stretched.

To prove this we had to take the front of the Porsche off which was a major job, and put on a new timing chain. We also replaced the time chain wheels.

After installing the part the car was put back together and and the engine light went out.

Problem solved!
